Former Chief Justice of India and current Governor of Kerala, P. Sathasivam, today honoured Vanitha Mohan, the founder of NGO Siruthuli, “for her contribution to society.” The event was organized by the Nanneri Kazhagam in Coimbatore.

Speaking at the occasion, Sathasivam said, “In Kerala I was attending a function to felicitate doctors. The ten best doctors were being recognized. When the doctors were called on the dais, I was happy to learn that all the best ten doctors were women. Now I’m here to felicitate a woman for her contributions to society.”

So impressed was he with the work of Siruthuli that he assured the audience that the next time he interacts with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he will bring to his notice the activities of the NGO.

After receiving the felicitation, Vanitha Mohan, founder of Siruthuli, said, “Relationships in life happen for a larger-than-life reason. Siruthuli is a people’s movement. If it is successful today, it is because of the contributions of all the people who have worked to make the movement what it is today.” Sharing the dais with her was N. Subramanian, founder of Nanneri Kazhagam.
