SIT to probe real estate agent’s murder, lawyer under cloud

Kochi: The police is to form a special investigation team (SIT) to probe the case of the murder of a real estate agent in the wake of fingers of accusation against a prominent lawyer.
Thrissur Rural SP Yatheesh Chandra said in Thrissur that DySP Shamsuddin will lead the team. The victim, Rajiv, 43, was kidnapped before his murder. His body was found in a rented house in Chalakkudy in Thrissur. Four persons have been arrested so far and two are at large.
The victim Rajiv’s friends said he had threat from prominent lawyer CP Udayabhanu. He had informed the top police officials in this regard and had sought protection.
