Smart city project, BJP campaign high point

The Smart City project given to the city would be the major plank for Coimbatore South Assembly constituency for BJP-Kongunadu Janayaka Katchi (KJK) alliance.
The decision to highlight the project to woo the voters was taken at a meeting of KJK, in which BJP candidate for the constituency, Vanathi Srinivasan, was the special invitee, KJK founder-president, G.K. Nagaraj said here.
Coimbatore was one of the 20 Smart Cities selected by the Centre. The meeting also decided about forming booth committees and take efforts to win the seat for the alliance with a thumping majority, Nagaraj said.
KJK is contesting two seats in the region in alliance with BJP.
