Special poojas for CM

Thanjavur: Special homams and poojas were performed at the famous Neelamega Perumal temple, located on the banks of River Vennar near Thanjavur, today seeking divine blessings for the speedy recovery of Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
The six-hour homams, including dhanvantari homam, sudarshana homam, amrita mrityunjaya homam and ayush homam, were organised by Rajya Sabha member and former minister R Vaithilingam, on behalf of the party’s Thanjavur south district unit.
AIADMK MP K Parasuraman, mayor Savithri Gopal, district panchayat chairperson Amudharani Ravichandran, MLAs Govindaraj and Sekar and former MLAs M Rangasamy, M Rathinasamy, MGM Subramanian, and a large number of AIADMK cadre participated.
The deity was offered 108 materials, including nine kinds of grains, fruits, coconuts and betel leaves and nuts, at the yagam.
