Already active in six Indian metros, Singapore-based Spini, the paid referral platform, formally launched its services in Coimbatore today. Spini is a virtual platform that brings together buyers, sellers, and intermediaries in a systematic manner, on a single platform. The services can be accessed through social media, by giving a missed call to their official number, and by logging on to their website.
Addressing the media today, Shankar G, the CEO and co-founder, said, “Spini is a fast growing, well-funded start-up where the referrers are paid for providing information and connecting sales professionals, or service providers, with potential customers. A user can post his or her requirement anytime, anywhere. The user can also connect sales professionals through Spini. Plus, the user gets paid by sales persons for information and connection.”
As soon as a user posts a requirement, a team at Spini verifies the authenticity of the post. Once the message is declared authentic, it becomes a lead and the same is passed on to the service providers registered with Spini. One lead is shared with just five service providers. This ensures that cold calls are ruled out.
Service providers in various categories like real estate, insurance, and interior renovation are registered and listed with Spini by paying a registration fee. The individual who posts an authentic lead earn a small commission for passing on the referral.
This concept of generating authentic leads for potential service providers has many takers. “Over 70 per cent of business happens through referrals. There is a strong need and demand for platforms such as Spini to bring together buyers, sellers and intermediaries in a systematic matter and on a single platform,” Shankar said.
He added that ever since this platform was launched in India, Spini has three lakh users across all its platforms. Spini intends to spread its network all over India in another year.
