Sri Ayyappan lamp festival was celebrated in Madukkarai, with decorated elephants and bursting crackers. Countless devotees participated in the festival.
The lamp festival is being celebrated at Sri Lakshmi Narayanan Temple for the past 64 years. This time, the celebrations have been on for the past five days. On behalf of Sri Sabarish Seva Samajam, the main event – the procession of decorated elephants, accompanied by traditional music like the drums – was held.
