A female Sri Lankan refugee belonging to the Sathyamangalam Sri Lankan refugee camp has been admitted to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital on Friday after she was allegedly harassed by the in-laws of a man with whom she was having had an extramarital affair.

According to sources, Nirosha was living alone with her 10-year-old son Santhosh in the camp after her husband left her. She had developed an illicit affair with the husband of a woman named Jency.

Meanwhile, Jency’s family members reportedly abducted Nirosha and her son and physically tortured them. Nirosha further claimed that she was abused sexually by them. She is currently undergoing treatment at the CMCH.
