Members of the Southern Railway Mazdoor Union (SRMU) would begin an indefinite strike from July 11 demanding the fulfillment of their 36-point agenda.

Participating in a mock protest at the Railway Workshop here today, district heads of the associated said that all members of the union would take part in the strike.

“We have been urging the Centre to change the Seventh Pay Commission policy and to fix the minimum pay scale at Rs, 26,000. But our pleas have not been heeded,” a member said.

Around 100 members took part in the mock protest.
