Student comes under wheel of bus, dies

A 20-year ITI student was crushed to death as his two-wheeler came under the wheel of a private bus near Kuttayur in the rural limits today.
The deceased, Saddam Hussain, was going to receive his certificate from an institution in Mettupalayam, along with his friend Santhana Kumar on a two-wheeler, police said.
As the private bus took a sharp left turn at Kuttayur near Karamadai, the two-wheeler touched the rear wheel, both the rider and pillion fell and were caught under it. Saddam was killed on the spot, while his friend was seriously injured. Santhana Kumar was to the Government hospital here.
