Students find Tamil paper easy on Day 1

The State Board Standard X examinations began on Tuesday with the first paper being Tamil I. And, it appeared to be a good beginning as the students found it easy.

As many as 39,203 students appeared for the exams from the Coimbatore Education district and around 102 centres were set up in various schools here.

Students who appeared for the Tamil Paper I said the paper was easy and they were able to answer all the questions within the stipulated time.

J. Franklin, a student from a private school near Thudiyalur said that only a few questions were asked from the book.

“Both one mark and multiple mark questions were easy except for the fact that some of the five mark questions were asked in two mark and one mark categories,” he said.

S. Praveen, a student from a Government school near Town Hall said that those who had prepared well would have been able to answer the questions without trouble.

District Revenue Officer T. Chiristhuraj inspected an examination centre at St. Mary’s School on Trichy Road here.

Meanwhile, 66 prisoners from the Coimbatore Central Prison also wrote the exam inside prison campus.
