Coimbatore : A group of Sudan students on Friday staged a demonstration in the city protesting against what they termed as dictatorship of Sudan President, Omar al-Bashir.

Raising slogans against al-Bashir in their language, more than 50 students gathered at South Taluk office and sought freedom from the rule of the dictator, police said.

Holding placards “we want peace, freedom and justice. The evaluation is choice of the people” and a few in their language, police said.

The president was trying to use force against those, who were fighting for their rights, they alleged and sought the resignation of the President.
