Looks like it is raining gadgets in the Indian market. The latest addition is the K-series Smartphones K7 and K10, courtesy electronics giant LG. Recently, the two models were unveiled in the national capital.

Glossy pebble design, a contemporary, stylish look with a curved, modern finish aimed at a younger audience – that’s the K-series Smartphone in a nut-shell. The glossy pebble design is complemented by LGs new 2.5D Arc Glass for a smooth and seamless style that could only be made possible due to the sides of K-series Smartphones being free of button clutter. With design cues borrowed from nature, the K10 and K7 look far more expensive and exclusive than they really are.

Further, because consumers on the move tend to enjoy an active lifestyle, the K-series is designed with multimedia creation and consumption in mind – with a larger screen to display images and videos captured. The K10 is powered with the most advanced camera 13MP on the rear and 8MP on the front.

Both devices are equipped with flash for selfie in the front to help users capture priceless moments whenever and wherever the need might arise, even in the dark.

While the K7 is powered by 2,125mAh battery the K10 runs on a 2,300mAh battery. Both the models are supported with the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop. Other features that one can find in both the models include 2.5D arc glass and tap and shot. While the K7 is available in titan, gold, white hues the K10 comes in colors white, indigo and gold.

According to a release the K7 is priced at Rs. 9,500 while the K10 costs Rs. 13,500.

At the launch, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Union Minister, Communications and IT, Government of India, said: “The Indian digital ecosystem will be a $1trillion economy in the next five years with $400bn contribution from Smartphones and electronics manufacturing, 350Bn from IT and ITES enabled services and $250Bn from communications services. LG is a large global brand name and we are very excited that they have chosen to manufacture mobile handsets from India. With LG Smartphones consumers will have access to governance, information and knowledge in the hands,” Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad said.
