TEA congratulates PM Modi for GDP growth

The Tirupur Exporters’ Association (TEA) today sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for the GDP growth of 7.6 percent in 2015-16, a five-year high.
In the message, A. Shaktivel, the TEA President, said that India continued to maintain the lead over China and is still the fastest growing economy. The growth had been 7.9 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2015-16, a positive signal for the GDP growth reaching 8 per cent in 2016 -17, he said.
The GDP growth rate, the real barometer has apparently proved the able administration of the government under Modi, Shaktivel said.
