Team R3A PGA Motor Sports wins MRF Rally of Coimbatore

Team R3A PGA Motor Sports won the MRF Rally of Coimbatore race. P.G. Abilash from Kerala was the driver of the team, and Srikanth Gawda from Bangalore, the co-driver. The team drove a Mitsubishi EVO 8.

Residency Towers Coimbatore was the hospitality partner for R3A PGA Motor Sports.

The Covai Post spoke to Abilash prior to the race. When asked what can be expected from him this time, a very confident Abilash said, “I will put in my best and I have just winning on my mind.”

Round I of the MRF Rally of Coimbatore covered a total of 200-kilometres which includes 75-kilometres special stages (driving tracks) on gravel roads. The routes of the stages are closed sections of public and private roads. The six special stages (driving tracks) of the rally were spread in and around Kethanur, on the outskirts of Coimbatore. In the following months, four rounds of the race will be hosted in four Indian cities.

Residency Towers is known to support art, drama and music. Off late the hotel has been supporting sporting activities too.
