In a horrific incident of crimes against women, an employee of an IT firm in Bengaluru was raped at knife point by an unidentified man at her PG accommodation in Parappana Agrahara.

The incident that took place on Monday came to light only on Tuesday. The victim from Tamil Nadu aged around 25 years is working in the city since a year and was living with her friend in the accommodation.

On Monday, when her roommates left for work, the she stayed back in the PG as she was not feeling well.

An unidentified man barged inside her room and allegedly raped her at knife-point and fled.

Police sources said the accused must have committed the crime after his motive to steal from the building proved futile.

A case has been registered by the Parappana Agrahara police.

Special teams have been formed to nab the accused.
