Teen lovers commit suicide by jumping before a speeding train

A couple, in their late teens, has committed suicide by jumping before a train near Podanur on the outskirts of Coimbatore early in the morning today.
Morning walkers noticed the body of a girl cut in two pieces, and of a boy lying near the track at Ganeshapuram, some nine kilometres from Coimbatore, and informed the police and railway officials.
The girl has been identified as 19-year-old Ramya of Kengarai in Kothagiri, Nilgiris district. She was a second year polytechnic student. The boy, 19 years old, was identified as Divakaran of the same area. The parents of the deceased have been informed.
The two were in love with each other for the past two years. The reason for their suicide was not yet known.
Investigations are on.
