Teenage girl among four die of fever in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: A teenage girl was among four persons who died of different types of fever in the Government Hospital here in the last 14 hours.

According to hospital sources, Subashree (14) of Pollachi was undergoing treatment for fever and diagnosed for H1N1 (swine flu). Failing to respond to treatment, she died around midnight yesterday, they said.

Similarly, Kathirvel (32) of Thondamuthur on the outskirts, died in the wee hours of Wednesday while under treatment for swine flu.

Bothiraj (52) of Mettupalayam and Rajkumar (39)  from Salem district died of ‘mysterious’ fever in the hospital early today, they added.
