Tension in Ooty as vehicle glasses found broken

Udhagamandalam: Tension prevailed in Udhagamandalam when the general public noticed glasses of a few parked vehicles found broken early this morning.
According to police, some unidentified persons went on a spree of breaking of glasses of cars, auto rickshaws and vans that had particular words written on the front portion of the glass. Some of the vehicles, which have similar writings, were found damaged. There were scratch marks on those vehicles in Kandhal, they added.
Though earlier report suggested that this could be a family dispute, police are investigating whether there is any communal angle and deployed more than 150 personnel in and around the area.
Additional forces have been placed near temples and mosque.
