TiE Coimbatore organises marathon

About 600 people spanning every age group participated in a mini marathon organised by TiE’s Coimbatore chapter in the Race Course area.
Corporation Commissioner K Vijayakarthikeyan said that entrepreneurs are an integral part of the economic growth of the country and appreciated the TiE Coimbatore chapter for coming up with such an event, as he flagged off the marathon.
G Karthikeyan, president of the TiE Coimbatore chapter said, “The motive of this marathon is to create awareness about entrepreneurship and the Startup India movement. It is focused towards connecting entrepreneurs with business aspirants to support and celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship.”
This run is in the sync with the theme of the upcoming, first ever TiE Global Summit ‘A million entrepreneurs now’, scheduled to be held in Delhi on December 16 and 17.
The mini marathon, of 3km and 5km, was organised by TiE chapters across India. Gifts were given to 25 winners from a lucky draw.
