Tamil Nadu government should act fast in the GAIL pipeline issue and sort it out soon for the welfare of the farmers, said K. Krishnasamy, Founder of the Puthiya Thamizhagam Katchi, here on Wednesday.

Meeting media persons here, Krishnasamy said that the government should not sit on this issue like it did for other issues, but find a solution soon.

“The Supreme Court on Tuesday passed a judgment which is against the farmers of Tamil Nadu and their livelihood,” he said.

He further added that farmers were deeply wounded by the issue as they were being deprived of their livelihood.

Claiming that fixing the pipeline would start soon as there was a court order, Krishnasamy urged the State Government to quickly call for an all-party meeting and file a review petition at the Supreme Court immediately.

Alleging that a member from the AIADMK had been included in the TNPSC Selection Board, Krishnasamy said that his Party would take the matter to the court if that person was not removed.
