TN local body polls announced

Chennai: The Tamil Nadu State Election Commission (TNSEC) on Sunday announced that the polls to the local bodies in the state will be held in two phases, on October 17 and 19.
TNSEC commissioner P Seetharaman said that filing of nomination will start on Monday, with the last date for submission one week later, on October 3.
He told reporters that nominations will be scrutinised on October 4 and the last date for withdrawal of nominations is on October 6.
