TNAU inks pact with C-DAC

The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) today signed a MoU with the Centre for Development of Advance Computing (C-DAC), Hyderabad for the development and usage of ICT tools and software for extension education, training,consultancy, research and information services.

The MoU will pave way for making Agritech Portal and Crop Doctor into user friendly mobile application, as proposed by the varsity to convert into web-enabled platform, which have been desktop applications so far.

Besides, the agreement will provide a back end technical support to TNAU for implementing various ICT based projects at e-Extension centre, Education Media Centre, DoEE and all attempts will be made to ensure that developments and projects are accomplished to a very high degree of quality, a TNAU release said.

The agreement was signed by TNAU Vice-Chancellor Dr. K. Ramasamy and C-DAC director A. Magesh in the presence of TNAU Registrar Dr. C.R. Ananda Kumar and director of extension education, Dr. H. Philip.
