TNAU Seed Centre bags research excellence award

Coimbatore : Seed Centre in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) here has bagged the award for research excellence in seed technology.

The award carrying a citation was presented at the three-day 33rd Annual Group Meeting of the All India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP) on National Seed Projects (Crops), which concluded at Karaikal yesterday.

All state agricultural universities and research institutes under Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) participated and the TNAU Seed Centre bagged the best performance award among the 24 centres, a TNAU statement said today.

The 13th annual review meeting of ICAR-seed projects was also held. TNAU Special Officer (Seeds) Dr P Selvaraju received the award from Puducherry Agriculture Minister R Kamalakannan in the presence of senior ICAR officials.
