TNAU to confer doctorate on Mallika Srinivasan

The Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of Tractors and Farm Equipment Ltd, Mallika Srinivasan, would be conferred the honorary degree for Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa) at the 38th annual convocation of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University on September 9.
Tamil Nadu Governor and University Chancellor Ch. Vidyasagar Rao would preside over the function during which time 1360 students would receive degrees. Six hundred and forty-nine candidates would be awarded degree ‘in absentia’.
State Agriculture Minister and Pro-Chancellor of the University R. Doraikkannu would announce new endowment prizes and medals.
Dr. C.D. Mayee, President, South Asia Biotechnology Centre, New Delhi would deliver the convocation address.
