Eco friendly Russian toys to be launched

Around 80 children took part in a competition in connection with the pre-launch event themed ‘Treasure Island,’ where they painted paper toys at Ezee Academy organized by Kraftoons.

Shruthi Lakshmi A, center head of Ezee Academy, said, “Children really liked the paper toys as they can paint them in whatever colour they like.” Sharp Papier, a Russian company, is making toys from recycled paper which leads to 0% wastage.

“Eco-friendly toys are going to be the rage very soon in the Indian market,” said V Suresh Kumar, Managing Director of Kraftoons, which is the exclusive Indian subsidiary of Sharp Papier. He also said that the official launch will be done on New Year’s Eve. The toys will range from Rs. 50 to Rs. 700.

The winners were selected on the basis of votes given by parents for the best three beautifully painted tortoises in each category. Under the 5-8years category, Shrushti S came first, Shreyank S second and Yazhini JR third. Under the 9 years and above category, Shreenidhi A won the first prize, Varsshshree B second prize followed by Nivya Deepanand.

Winners were given gift vouchers of Rs. 2000, 1500 and 1000 for both batches while all contestants received a participation prize.
