TVS Racing would support the Alisha Abdullah Racing Academy by providing racing bikes and technical expertise. The Academy, first of its kind for training women racers, has shortlisted 18 candidates who would race exclusively on the TVS Racing Team in the first year.

According to Alisha Abdullah, founder of the Chennai-based academy, the riders were being trained to improve physical fitness and hone their skills. “This collaboration with TVS will help the academy develop the best talent among women racers as they get exclusive access to best in class machines and technology,” she said.

Arvind Pangaonkar, Head, TVS Racing Team, said the Team was committed to promote two-wheeler racing in the country and generate interest and improve support for the sport in India. “We are taking steps to take the sports to as many sections of the society as possible and create the ultimate machine and promote the riders of the machine,” he added.
