Two detained under Goondas Act

Two notorious rowdies – Saravanan (22), resident of Nehru Nagar, Pattukottai and Surendar (23), resident of Ambal Colony, Pattukottai – were detained under the Goondas Act for indulging in activities prejudicial to the maintenance of public order and peace.
Based on the recommendations made by Superintendent of Police J. Mahesh and relevant documents produced by circle inspector K. Singaravel of Pattukottai Police Station, District Collector Annadurai ordered their detention under the Section of 3 (i) of the Act. They were lodged at the central prison in Tiruchi.
