Two full grown sandalwood trees cut in the city

Sandalwood smugglers, after a gap of nearly a month, struck again in the Race Course area, the heart of the city, with two full grown sandalwood falling victims.

Morning walkers in the area noticed the tree logs in front of CSI School and immediately informed police, who arrived on the spot.

The miscreants had left three sandal wood logs at the place, while another tree was cut
from the bottom and removed, Police said.

In appearance each tree could be about 10 years old, they said.

The incident, happening after a gap of nearly one month, put the police on high alert and spread a dragnet to nab the culprits.
