Two girls die of viral fever in GH

A three-year-old girl admitted to the Government Hospital here for viral fever, died in the early hours of Wednesday, The girl from Chinniamalayam on the outskirts was admitted with fever and suspected dengue symptoms on Tuesday night.

However, before she could be examined for dengue, she died around 3 a.m., hospital sources said.

A 10-year-old girl from Ganapathy was admitted to the hospital, with fever and bleeding from nose, on Tuesday afternoon.

The girl was suffering from fever for the last three days and was admitted to the Government hospital, after she bled from nose. However, she died before test could be carried out, sources added.
