Two held for waylaid robbery

Two youths were arrested today on the charges of waylaid robbery.

Sudhakaran, from Sivaganga district, arrived in Coimbatore this morning to join a private college. As he was looking out for accommodation near Peelamedu, two motorcycle borne youth waylaid him and relieved him of Rs.5000 cash.

Following a complaint from Sudhakaran, police swung into action. They notice two youths moving around in a two-wheeler in a suspicious manner. On interrogation, they confessed to the crime.

The two, identified as Vishnu a second year B.Com student and his friend Stephen Raj, a graduate. They both have been arrested.
