Two youths die in bike-lorry collision

Two youths were killed when their motorcycle collided with a coir-laden lorry at Kovilpalayam on the outskirts, in the wee hours today.

Kishore (23), working in Mangaluru and come on a holiday, along with his friend Jayanth (22), was proceeding to Annur to visit his relatives, police said. Their vehicle hit a lorry coming from Karnataka around 3 am. The two died on the spot and the bodies were taken to the government hospital for post mortem. Lorry driver Dharmaraj has been taken to custody, police said.
