UK University’s honorary doctorate for doctor

Anglia Ruskin University, the U.K., awarded Dr. C. Palanivelu, Chairman of Gem Hospital, with the Doctorate of Health Science, Honoris Causa, recently during its convocation.
Dr. Palanivelu was given this award “in recognition of his excellent services in promoting modern health care in the U.K. and abroad”.
Dr. Palanivelu was presented the award by Vice Chancellor Professor Michael Throne.
His citation read: “Hailing from a humble background in India, he has made significant contribution in development of modern health care, particularly in treatment of gastrointestinal cancers, the incidence of which is far increasing all over the world. He has many innovations to his credit…”
