More than 15,000 students from India and abroad will participate in the sixth edition of Anokha, the national technical festival, organized by Amrita School of Engineering between February 18 and 20. Anokha 2016 has received United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) accreditation. This year’s theme is based on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

About 75 competitions like robotics, pitch-fest, business, social entrepreneurship, gaming, and short-film making will be organized. Cash prizes worth Rs.15 lakhs will be given away to winners.

The sixth edition of Anokha 2016 will also provide an opportunity for over 60 start-ups to present their business ideas. Experts from various fields will organize about two dozen workshops for the students.

“Anokha aims to encourage engineering students from all over India and the world to come together to display their passion for science and technology. In just five years, it has become one of the top engineering tech-fests in the country. I’m glad that Anokha 2016 has emerged as yet another grand avenue to showcase and celebrate the innovation, ingenuity, teamwork and talent of engineering students,” Dr. Sasangan Ramanathan, Dean, Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita University said.
