Vijay praises demonetization, but says many suffering

Chennai: Actor Vijay welcomed the demonetisation move, but said the Centre should have made enough arrangements before implementing it.
Speaking to reporters at AVM Studios here today, Vijay said, “I am confident that this move by PM Narendra Modi will boost our economy. But they should have taken precautionary measures. For wrongs committed by 20 per cent of the population, sad to see 80 per cent suffering.”
Vijay said proper planning means less trouble for poor people. “Those living in rural areas and senior citizens are suffering the worst,” he said.
