Forest officials have warned people against taking their cattle and goats for grazing inside the forests.

The warning follows an incident where a goat that belonged to a farmer near Muruganpadi, was caught and dragged away by a fox, initially thought to be a leopard.

Officials said the villagers run the risk of being attacked by these wild animals that are now targeting the herd.
