Members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) staged a demonstration near the District Collectorate here on Wednesday demanding a CB-CID inquiry into the alleged Viluppuram triple suicide of three students of a private medical college.

Various students’ organizations have been protesting all over the state even as a case is pending in the court seeking CB-CID investigation against SVS Medical College. Joining the protest, the ABVP members alleged that the state government has been silent over the complaints raised against the college administration.

K.Tharani, a member of the organization, alleged that the college administration has not been listening to the pleas of the students. “The college is solely responsible for the deaths of the three students, and all involved should be punished under the law,” she said.

The members also requested the state government to ensure the safety of students all over the state.
