As the protest against the ban on Jallikattu entered the fourth day today, members of the National Federation for the Blind joined the agitators at the VOC Grounds here today.

The members who arrived at the venue raised slogans against the State and Central Governments for not passing an ordinance to allow the conduct of the event.

“We first thought they would stop the protest in a day or two. But their courage and determination to keep our culture alive has inspired us to join them,” said K. Sivakumar.

The members also lauded the volunteers who have been arranging for food and water for the protesters. They also appreciated the security being provided to women protesters.

“We also appreciate the efforts of every individual and private organisations who have extended their support for a noble cause,” said Radhika, another member.

Another member said they would continue their protest till the sport was conducted.
