Ukkadam Police on Saturday arrested a women who was caught red handed while attempting to snatch a gold chain while she was travelling in a bus.

According to Police, the victim V. Pandimeena (48), a resident of press colony was reportedly traveling from Thudiyalur to Ukkadam in town bus.

While travelling, she had reportedly found that her 4 sovereign gold chain worth ₹ 1 lakh was found missing and the accused W.Jhanu alias Samundeeswari was found in possession of the chain.

People who were at the spot caught Samundeeswari and handed her over to the Ukkadam police. A case has been registered with the police and she has been remanded.
