Woman dies after falling in 60-foot deep well

A woman died after she accidentally fell into a 60-foot-deep well near Annur.
The victim, 60-year-old Thulasi Ammal was a labourer at a power loom unit. She was returning home that night when she accidentally fell in the well. Since the stretch of road was deserted at nights, no one heard her screams. With injuries on her head and body, she lay floating in the water all night.
The next morning, when a farm worker came to fetch water form the well, he noticed the woman floating in the water. He immediately informed the police and the fire station personnel.
Thulasi Ammal was rushed to the hospital where she died.
