A woman passenger was relieved of 20 sovereigns ornaments, Rs. 15,000 cash and some foreign currency while travelling by the Cheran Express from Chennai to Coimbatore early this morning.

Santhya Stalin (56), working as a teacher in New Zealand, was on her way here to visit her brother, police said.
On waking up early this morning, she was shocked to find the gold and diamond ornaments, cash and 1,000 New Zealand Dollars missing from her hand bag.
