Woman relieved of chain

An elderly woman woman was relieved of her two sovereign chain at Ramanathapuram on Thursday.
According to police, Shantha was on her way back home with her grandson at around 10 p.m. after buying dinner for her family from a restaurant at Sowripalayam Piruvu, when the motorbike borne miscreants snatched her chain and sped away.
Following a complaint from Shantha, Ramanathapuram police have registered a case and are investigating.
