Kottayam: Kerala State Women’s Commission has directed the police to file a case against independent legislator P C George for making derogatory remarks against the actor who was abducted and abused in a moving vehicle.

Commission chairperson MC Josephine took the decision after getting legal advice that George’s remarks were tantamount to denigrating the status of womanhood in society. The remarks were against the status and dignity of woman, the advice said.

Downplaying the charges made by the actor about the abduction, George had told mediapersons at Alappuzha a few days ago that if she was really abused how then was she able to go for shooting the next day.

George had supported the accused actor Dileep saying it was a well planned conspiracy against Dileep.
