In a gruesome freak accident, a construction worker was churned to death after he accidentally fell into a concrete mixer at IAF Air Base Depot in Sulur, on the outskirts of Coimbatore, today.

According to police, 25-year-old Vinodh, hailing from Madhya Pradesh, was working as a labourer at a construction site in the depot. While inspecting the concrete mixer early in the morning today, Vinodh accidentally fell in it. The machine started churning the ingredients for the concrete mix, along with Vinodh in it.

Workers who were present there immediately switched the machine off and pulled Vinodh out. They immediately rushed him to the hospital, but Vinodh died on the way.
