Around 30 women participated in the ‘My Shopping My Bag’ training session today.

Organised by the Swachh Women Wonders at the Brookefields Mall, the members were taught how to make different types of cloth bags from old T-shirts and sarees without using needle and thread.

Addressing the participants, marketing manager of Brookefields Mall N.A. Sujatha said it was necessary to switch over to cloth bags for shopping to achieve a plastic free community.

Talking to Covai Post, she said the event was a stepping stone towards making Coimbatore a better place to live in.
