Youth detained for questioning on the girl's murder

Coimbatore : Police Sunday detained a 26-year-old youth in connection with the murder of a teenage girl, who was found lying dead with slit throat in nearby Tirupur District yesterday.
The girl who went missing on Friday was found lying dead on Tirupur Dharapuram road and police had formed tour special teams to solve the case.
Based on a suspicion that the youth, Sathish Kumar, who was known to the deceased for the last five years, could be behind the gruesome murder, police nabbed him from Dindigul and are interrogating him.
Police are also monitoring the CCTV footage to identify the culprits.
The girl's body was handed over to the relatives after the postmortem.
