Youth detained under Goondas Act

Thanjavur: As per the orders of Collector A Annadurai, Sabari alias Shanmugam , 26, son of M Srinivasan and resident of North Street, Thirunageswaram, Kumbakonam taluk, was detained under the Goondas Act and lodged at the central prison in Trichy for indulging in activities prejudicial to the maintenance of public order and peace.
The arrest and confinement was based on the recommendations made by SP J Mahesh and relevant documents produced by DSP R Srinivasaperumal of Kumbakonam Sub Division, subsequent to which Collector Annadurai ordered the detention of Sabari as goonda under the section of 3 (i) of Tamil Nadu Act 14/1982.
