CPM rejects CPI anti-Mani stand

Kottayam: CPM today rejected CPI stand against accepting support of Kerala Congress (M) (KCM) in the Chengannur bypoll.

Reacting to the remarks of key ally CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran against KCM, CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said LDF would accept everyone’s votes.

A constituent party was not empowered to take unilateral decision on such issues, he added. The decision had to be taken by Left Democratic Front (LDF) state committee.

Meanwhile, KCM chief K M Mani said the candidate getting the support of his party would win.
