Rain wrecks havoc killing seven in Kerala

Kochi: A total of seven persons were killed in rain related incidents in the state. The dead included a kindergarten child Fathima at Kasargod.

The districts badly affected include Idukki, Kozhikode, Kannur, Thrissur and Thiruvananthapuram.

Control rooms have been set up in Kozhikode where three relief camps have been opened to house the affected people.

Ten houses were inundated due to sea erosion in Chellanam in Kochi. Landslip was reported at 10th mile on Adimali-Munnar road.

Traffic was disrupted on Kochi- Danushkodi road. People living on the banks of Pampa and Kakkad river have been asked to move to safer places.
