Kerala CPM MLA’s son in cheque fraud case

Kochi: After CPM state secretary faced charges of fraud in Dubai, CPM legislator Vijayan Pillai’s son Srijit escaped a two-year jail sentence in a Rs 10-crore cheque bounce case in Dubai.

He was sentenced by the court in May, 2017 before which he landed in India.The complaint was filed by partner of the company Rahul Krishna who had helped him to get the money from the company on different occasions from 2013 to 2015.

It was during this period Srijit gave the cheque of a bank in India.

Rahul Krishna from Kollam had filed an FIR in Chavara police station last year and the case is before a court in Mavelikkara.

Sreejit told a channel that he did not get fair trial in Dubai and that he was planning to challenge it in India.
