KOTTAYAM: Alappuzha District Collector T. V. Anupama on Friday said that the mistake in the first notice served on former Minister Thomas Chandy could be due to a typing error. “But it was corrected in the second notice,” she said.

“Only receiving the court notice, the administration can get back to the court,” the Collector said and added that the administration would conduct an inquiry how the error occurred on the first occasion.

The Kerala High Court had quashed two notices sent by the Collector to Thomas Chandy in connection with encroachment on Punnamada lake in Alappuzha.
